Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Ex two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
Despite these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally known for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather attacked former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really happening.
